We opened up another pumpkin and removed the seeds. We used the tweezers to pick up the pumpkin seeds from inside the real pumpkin. Then we read the number and placed the correct amount of seeds on the pumpkins!
We began to discuss hibernation this week. We spoke about how a bear looks and sounds. We passed around pictures of bears, food they like to ear, and caves with bears sleeping inside. During the season of fall the bear eats a lot of food to prepare for the winter. Then in the winter he finds a cave and goes to sleep. In the spring he will wake up and come out. We touched our class teddy bear and felt the softness. We took a basked and let the bear crawl into his cave for a good sleep:)
We had so much fun playing our new season sorting game!! Each child took a turn picking a picture from the middle and checking to see if it matched their season board. If they picked d up a snowflake and they had the season of summer it wasn't a match. But when they picked a picture of red/orange/yellow leaves and had a season of fall board it was a match!
