Saltwater Experiment

Our class did an experiment today using regular water and saltwater. First we learned that during the Pesach seder we dip a vegetable in the saltwater. We discussed how our tears are salty just like the tears from when the Jewish people were crying from the slavery in Mitzrayim.
We wanted to taste what saltwater tastes like so we filled two bowls with water. Then we each got a turn to add a pinch of salt to one bowl. After, we played a guessing game where we had to close our eyes and guess which type of water we were tasting! It was really funny and we had a great time!
We also worked  on our  writing skills as we wrote letters to spell out out all the steps of the seder for our Haggadah!

Getting ready for Pesach!

Today our class went outside for a walk and discovered all the ways we could know that it was the season of spring! It was rainy, warm and we even heard birds chirping. We also noticed a lot of letters and numbers during our walk!
We practiced our writing skills by using letters to spell out words connected to the holiday of Pesach.
We also enjoyed drawing Pesach pictures in the art center.
Together we sang our Pesach songs. We are getting so good at singing the Mah Nishtana (4 questions)!!

Purim is Coming!

Our class is busy preparing for the holiday of Purim!!! Every day we continue the story a little more with a funny puppet show using our very own Purim puppets. Our sensory table is full of masks, graggers, purim pictures and we love to go over and explore it with friends- and to check how silly we look in the mirror:)
In our manipulative center we looked at pictures of real palaces and made our very own out of magnatiles.
We created our beautiful Purim masks using all different kinds of decorations!
